Description

So, with the army finally about done, it was time for the group photo before everyone gets tucked away in the cosy blue foam to begin their career as 40k models. As I've mentioned before, it's actually quite rare for an entire army to be on the table at once due to transports, reserves and, er, horrible slaughter, so this is always a nice thing to do.

First, a bit of CTRLC/V action to introduce the army:

My TGG are going to be forming a Traitor Guard force, dedicated to Slaanesh, but they're at a very early stage and don't realise who's really in charge yet. My girls are members of the Cult of Artemis, a feminist warrior lodge that has infiltrated their ranks and is in fact a Slaanesh cult in disguise. To this end, my Regiment is the 3rd Trojan, which along with the obvious connection to Ancient Greece and prophylactics also nicely covers the infiltration theme. One of the sacred symbols of Artemis is three pillars, which links to the regiment number and also the Emperor's Children (3rd Legion), and the design on the banner is her sigil, which represents the moon and two bows but also echoes the sigil of Slaanesh. It all fits pretty well and I'm foolishly pleased with it.

The colour scheme is much like my Emperor's Children to reflect the Slaanesh theme. I used Emperor's Children over Pink Horror with a Fulgrim Pink highlight for the combats, and Army Painter Dark Tone after the base coat.  Since the Jailbirds have quite a bit of exposed skin, I'm going for a range of different tones with them, much like my Sisters of Battle.

With that out of the way, a quick breakdown of what we see here, with links. Due to DA changing their html coding again, this may be a little messy, my apologies.

At the front, on the left we have the first infantry squad of the Renegade Platoon: majere613.deviantart.com/art/3…

Next to them, front-and-center, are the Command HQ, including:
*    The weapon team: majere613.deviantart.com/art/T…
*    Admiral Olga Kurganova: majere613.deviantart.com/art/T…
*    'Punky', the standard bearer: majere613.deviantart.com/art/P…
*    and Mad Nurse Bernadette (a unit filler here): majere613.deviantart.com/art/T…

On the right, the second squad of basic infantry: majere613.deviantart.com/art/3…

In the middle, behind the command HQ, are the Veterans: majere613.deviantart.com/art/T… with their Enforcer: majere613.deviantart.com/art/T…

Back left, the Arvus Lighter 'Disasterpiece': majere613.deviantart.com/art/D…
along with Zola's Gorgons, the Marauders who fly in it: majere613.deviantart.com/art/Z…

Center back, the Cult of the Sublime Tongue, who form the Command Squad of the Renegade Platoon: majere613.deviantart.com/art/C…
The Cult are led by a Demagogue with a power-axe and Malinka Kurganova, who in this army is an Enforcer: majere613.deviantart.com/art/M…

To the right of them are the support teams with lascannons: majere613.deviantart.com/art/T…

Finally for the infantry, on the extreme right are Squad Sisyphus: majere613.deviantart.com/art/S…
and their Valkyrie, Queen Anne's Revenge: majere613.deviantart.com/art/Q…

Right at the back are the Demolisher tanks of Dominator Squadron:
*    Painkiller: majere613.deviantart.com/art/P…
*    Icon of Dominance: majere613.deviantart.com/art/I…
*    and Wrathchild: majere613.deviantart.com/art/W…

Finally, alongside the tanks is the Wyvern artillery piece, Creeping Death: majere613.deviantart.com/art/C…

In the field, the 3rd Trojan will be supported by Slaanesh Daemons, and/or the Emperor's Children Traitor Legion.

Photography by me. Original miniatures (c) Raging Heroes, Games Workshop, Brigade, Hasslefree and Wargames Factory in rough descending order by model count. Please see original Deviations for specifics.

Finally, as a bonus for getting this far, see if you can spot One-Shot Blondie: majere613.deviantart.com/art/O…

 (Ahhh... they're looking nice and pretty. Also pretty small though, at the moment. As much fun as they are to see, I think they'd be little more than a footnote in Imperial history with the limited muscle they're presently mustering... that might not be fair though, as they do have Chaos power and some rather serious units in that mix as well...)
